Hiya,

i downloaded Max Payne 2 (last time i downloaded it, i forgot to burn it onto cd :blushing: ), but it just won't start!
i get this message all the time:
http://server2.uploadit.org/files/Stoepjoeri-ERROR.JPG

i tried everything: new graphic drivers (for my Radeon 9600 PRO), newest Direct X (9.0c) ..which i already had..., i installed a update patch for Max Payne 2, i tried different cracks

i have no idea what i could do next...!

so some help would be much appreciated! :lookaroun

the funny thing is that a couple of months ago it worked without any problem!

from all you've posted it sounds like you just got a bad release then, it happens
some groups just do shitty releases

if you gave a little more info on the release, I'm sure somone in here could tell you a little more
else just look for the same release you had before that worked

this happened before with another release
i've got if from mininova.org (bittorrent) ..never had problems with any of the(ir) releases

and yes, i've installed the latest graphic drivers...

Maybe the game doesn't support this new driver you upgraded too (just a guess  ). This game is like 3 years old now.

i emailed Take 2 and they said i need to change the compatibility settings (right click on the .exe file > properties) to Windows 2000

and now it works :)
