in no particular order

Quarashi - Jinx
Couldn't decide between jinx and xeniezes. They're about 70% the same. I think jinx is just a rehashed version of xeniezes that they made to sell in america:unsure:
Can't remember how i heard of these. I suppose there's no real standout tracks, but it's all good. Cheesy as hell but good. Couldn't put it on loop though.

Eminem - Marshall Mathers LP
I'm pretty sure this is my first ever copied CD. i didn't have a PC or anything, it just appeared in my house one day :ermm:.
The only CD my dad has ever told me to "turn that crap off" over.
The best tracks are probably all of them. this album will never get old :01:

Dropkick Murphys - Blackout
I downloaded this album after hearing time to go on tony hawks underground. My first Dropkicks album and it's debatable over whether it's the best. I reckon it's my favourite though. Not one weak track on it.

Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030
I first heard of these, kid koala, dan the automator and del the funky homosapian of gorillaz fame in the days of napster. they were among the reccomended artists somewhere. Probably the first full album i ever downloaded back when i had a 56K modem and had to pay by the minute.

Rage Against the Machine - The Battle of Los Angeles
This list was easier than i thought it would be to put together, then harder to choose a fifth album than i expected. I was thinking a SOAD or antiflag album but decided on an RATM one instead. I first heard of these from a friend at school. he put bullet in the head on and i said it was crap. later on i DLed some RATM and realised it was teh_roka and i was wrong. first choice to annoy the nieghbours when i have to let off steam

oh wait now i have to do my top 5
of stuff from the past 10 years

these are really in no particular order, they were hard enough to choose

The Beta Band - The Three EPs (ed2k://|file|The%20Beta%20Band%20-%20The%20Three%20Eps%20(Eac%20Vbr)%20-%20Godfeather.rar|138771552|CDDBDEE526422E2DA4A2E6840E85CEF1|h=E5KCIMHJXQDU7ZKK6ZD7PLZR2XTXE5NF|/)
a collection of the three EPs (duh) that lead up to their self-titled album.

Sparklehorse - Good Morning Spider (ed2k://|file|Sparklehorse.-.Good%20Morning%20Spider_efrs.rar|231762950|F24A87D3B5304896F4D138D44B4FE78B|h=T5PY6NZNUOAPKOWF5RSDDZC5GGF7Z6WR|/)
if you don't like it, wait for the next song, it will be completely different. if you get through the whole thing without liking at least half of them, something's wrong with you

The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin (ed2k://|file|The%20Flaming%20Lips%20-%20Soft%20Bulletin.ace|90026935|61FFF980D03C6DCFA3F9196CF4312168|/)
this one only won over "Clouds Taste Metallic" because overall, it is more cohesive and accessible. A solid masterpiece.

Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works, Vol. II (ed2k://|file|Aphex.Twin_Selected.Ambient.Works.Volume.II_(eac.lame.mp3)_efrs.rar|199580604|94EE219FF0F1CFC4972B3FE14878F1F5|h=56SWNO56SJWKZOIXHNRP6CXL7GTRMGPE|/)
well this came out in '94, but i still listen to it at least once a month

and i don't care if it doesn't quite qualify, but i'm adding
Dr. Dre - The Chronic (ed2k://|file|Dr%20Dre%20-%20The%20Chronic%20-%20Vbr%20Lamev392%20Eac%20(Thedonga).rar|117220143|239E4A1B87EE484A6455071E7816EECC|h=QQ5OQF5VWF7XU32W26ZKVZU5QQKTBPR2|/)
because most white people wouldn't even pay attention to rap music if it weren't for this (& the following snopp dogg album).

2. DJ Shadow - Entroducing (I'm very surprised you picked him, many don't know about him, but his music is godly.)

DJ Shadow turned me on to hip hop. They just rereleased Entroducing, it's a great album and deservesed to be heard by all the young'ens. There's a couple of bonus mixes at the end of the album, it's the money.

Ever heard his "The Private Press" Album?
It's got some good songs such as "Giving up the Ghost" and "Mongrel...+Meets his maker". The ghost one sounds more like chillout music, while mongrel is rather gothic in a way. Both are indeed very nice.

Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory
ACDC - Back in Black

T.I. - King
50 Cent - Get Rich or Die Trying
Billy Talent - Billy Talent

Man I haven't heard Back in Black in a while, forgot how good of an album that was, and ya Karma and Effect is amazing, here's my top 5 as of this month lol:

1) Ashes of the Wake - Lamb of God

The best anti-bush/anti-Israel (policy wise to all those that are about to flame) album of 2004, what the hell is System of a Down anyways? In today's age, we need more bands like this, it's a shame we don't. These guys are the next Pantera and are bringing back true metal, with some of the most amazing riffs I've ever heard, and the best drumming bar none, move over Ulrich and Jordison, Adler is the new king. Off the bat, I hated this album, but with time it grew on me as it will with you, give it a shot you have nothing to lose but keep in mind it requires extended listening to truly appreciate the masterpiece.

Standout tracks:

-"Hourglass"
-"Now You've Got Something to Die For"
-"The Faded Line"
-"One Gun"
-"Break You" <--- first song I've ever heard that stands up against what Israel is doing
-"Ashes of the Wake"

Politics aside, if you can ignore the meaning of the lyrics, this album is still awesome. The vocal's by the way are other worldly, Randy's voice is insane.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y228/cptazad/lam.jpg

2) And Justice for All - Metallica

In my opinion, the pinnacle of Metallica's career, non-stop good music from start to finish, I'd pay the price of this album just for track number 4 ("One").

Standout tracks:

All of them, but if I had to truly pick:

-"Blackened"
-"And Justice for All"
-"One"
-"To Live is to Die"

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y228/cptazad/justice.jpg

3) Volume 3: The Subliminal Versus - Slipknot

The reason why I picked up a guitar and kicked my own ass in gear to learn how to play it, and also drums, even if Adler is my new favorite, I have nothing but the highest respect for Jordison. The material on this album still surprises me to this day, this is the second album that requires extended listening to, it really grows on you over time.

Standout tracks:

-"Prelude 3.0"
-"The Blister Exists"
-"Opium of the People" <-- Only if you like shredding fret work
-"Circle" <-- one word, amazing, didn't know they were capable of this
-"Vermilion Part 1"
-"Vermilion Part 2"
-"Before I Forget"
-"The Nameless"

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y228/cptazad/slip.jpg

4) Tie: Master of Puppets vs. Ride the Lightning - Metallica

In my opinion, MoP has 3 good songs (you already know which ones they are), while RtL is one hell of a ride, they both are awesome, but MoP has a slight advantage. Both albums inspired me to get my lazy ass to learn how to solo instaed of just playing riffs.
Standout tracks:

-"Battery" - Master of Puppets
-"Master of Puppets" - Master of Puppets
-"Sanitarium" - Master of Puppets
-All of Ride the Lightning, especially "Fade to Black"

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y228/cptazad/master.jpg

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y228/cptazad/ride.jpg

5) Vulgar Display of Power - Pantera

Amazing album, Darrell was truly a legend and this album proved it, like it didn't need more proving as it is lol.

Standout tracks:

Entire album, but if I had to pick:

-"Mouth for War"
-"Walk" <---
-"Fucking Hostile"
-"This Love"

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y228/cptazad/vulgar.jpg

That's my two cents.

Frank Zappa - I can't decide which one I like best but he belongs in the top five

If I look at this tomorrow I'll want to change it, there's so many that a top five is unfair. :P
