I'm an unemployed playboy keeping himself busy by working for Her Majesty's Government until the finance arrives to partake my true calling.
I expect this finance to arrive in about 25 years, and last about a month ;)

Systems Technician at Verizon Communications in Washington DC.
Been there well over a decade.
Can't wait 'till I get my measely 5 weeks vacation.
The French seem to get something like 8 weeks.

This week I'm a Under Water Basket Weaver. I took a paycut, but I get to scuba dive, ;)

I work for NASA, I make sure the windscreen wipers on the space ships work properly in case it rains :01:

Mostly physical, but a bit of both. It's industrial lanscaping, so typically a lot of upkeep at the local factories (steel mills).
@Jonno - I won't be using the chainsaw until autumn pruning starts. :rolleyes:

I mainly do stuff.
I have been working for HM for 20 odd years and I am sure I am going to be told what it is I do anytime soon (although I expect I will have to be shot when they do).
I do get 6 weeks holiday + 10 days public holiday (like today) so it is not all bad :01:

Well hell compared to you I'm just a grunt.
Like today, I'm running around in hot ass telephone phone rooms installing lines for the new ATM machines in the subway stations. If I run into a problem, I have to just sit in a hot box. :angry:
I'm going to look for a job back inside. I have to get surgery soon and I'm starting to tire of outside work. It is adventurous but sometimes it's friggin' filthy.
I'm going to pick my surgery date to be in the winter. I'll at least miss 2 months work in the snow.:naughty:

Seriously though, we each do our thing, I can't do your job as I have no tech skills, but I bet you could give mine a good go if you could be bothered. All that's needed is a reasonably mankerish standard of written English and access to other people's writing....merge them together, put your own opinion in somewhere... and its another one off to the publishers......well that's sorta the theory behind it... :unsure:
