Then call me "late".
But still I had seen nothing regarding the release. Just thought I would attempt to be of help...

no.
it can take more then 2 month's before a new WHQL driver is released.
check nvidia.com once in a while.

Or you could even be more up-to-date at: http://download.guru3d.com/detonator/
The latest WHQL driver is version 78.01 at their site.

I was under the impression that early releases there were essentially "betas".

WHQL means: Windows Hardware Quality Labs.
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/whql/default.mspx
So a WHQL certified driver isn't beta.
Right now the 78.11 is beta.

Ahh... I understand now. :) However it is somewhat alluding in that nVidia's official website is displaying an older version. That part makes very little sense to me.

Of course these drivers are WHQL certified yet to be considered beta.

Sorry. I didn't see that. :blushing:
They still work well.

Actually, I was browsing through nVidia's new 6000 series products. I believe I was eyeing a 6600 256MB AGP if correct. Any opinions or thoughts in regards to the 5000 series versus purchasing any of the 6000?
