This started in July, when Microsoft executive Kai-Fu Lee went to Google, this violated a one-year, non-compete agreement for Microsoft. Microsoft is now holding trial against Mr. Lee. Mr. Lee contacted the founder of Google many times, showing interest in a China office. He was stated head of the office and was hired by Google, then Microsoft suing Google to block the move. Google then immediately filed a countersuit.
Mark Lucovsky, a Microsoft senior engineer who left Microsoft for Google in November 2004 talked about Ballmer's angry reaction when he told Ballmer he was going to switch to Google. During the conversation between Lucovsky and Ballmer, Mr. Ballmer stated, "Just tell me it's not Google". When Lucovsky said it was, Ballmer picked up a chair and threw it across the room hitting a table.
Ballmer then said (about Google CEO Eric Shmidt) , "I'm going to f***ing bury that guy, I have done it before, and I will do it again. I'm going to f***ing kill Google."
