Just got bf2 @ Fry's for $30 today! labor day sale! :01:

i got the cd version. the dvd version isn't on sale apparently. is there a no-cd patch for the 1.02 version? or is it possible for me to just make an image and mount it? don't want to damage my disc

make an image and mount, it should be 1:1 since you have the original copy.

not sure if there's a problem with my disc or it's made like this, but every time i try to make an image or copy using either alcohol 120 or nero, i get a bunch of read errors. it won't let me make a copy!?!?!

try clonecd, or another program that copies cd's (or make images) that is 1:1.

i'm getting clonecd now. i did some searching, and apparently there's no no-cd patch or even a virtual drive mountable no-cd image available for the newest bf2 batch (1.02)

If you apply a no cd to the game you might not have to put the disc in put you won't be able to play the game online at all.

it is an amazing game. just the right amount of realism. my css skills really pays off, but this game revolves more around team coop than just ur trigger happy fingers

clonecd doesn't work. it lets me rip a image, but when i mount it, it doesn't work. i don't like keeping the disc in there all the time

Same applies for an Image, unless everytime you want to play you're willing to rip out your IDE cables.
