That most likely is just based off theyre website although Ive heard many have cancelled after their first month.
I guess if you happen to give it a try let us know though you may want to look at real feedback first...

100 proof news Occasional bursts of greatness followed by long periods of abysmal service. So far 2004 has been the usual roller coaster of ups and downs. Don't waste your money.

100 proofnews have upgraded their server.

completion/retention are good.

only thing: sometimes they have problems with permanent username and login

my opinion: a service at this very low price will not continue

I'm using them now...the completion & retention rate is good considering its only $8.95 a month...3 servers to choose from too.

im new to this so i dont know to much but when i used my isp providers service i got around 400kb/s but was capped at 2gb per month. i decided to go with 100proofnews because they were cheap and unlimited but found that my speed jumps from 0 to 150 kb/s all the time. im not sure if its just me or if it is the service but its starting to piss me off

When and if you decide to switch I suggest you try out NewsHosting then.
You can use our refferal link for the site here at...

is it weird that my speed is jumping around and does this other host have constant speed?

well i got my speed up but when my files finished they were corrupt. I plan on getting rid of this service and using the suggested one

I used giganews myself, got tired of the high cost. I recently changed to News Hosting (http://www.newshosting.com/), good cost for unlimited access and speeds are so/so.

I've been using 100proof for about 2 weeks. The first week was good , but lately i've been getting 0Kb and only going to 115kb, back and forth. I'll be dropping them next week.

Anyone else notice that 100proof has gone up 4 bucks?

You say "Unlimited Download", how unlimited is it?
Our $12.95/Month account is truly unlimited. You can download 30 Gigabytes a day if you want to, we don't care.

Just noticed this today, was $8.95 when i signed up.

Don't know too much about them. However, in regards to unlimited, I know that for Giganews if you leech 24/7 that htey throttle your account and send you a warning message.

Don't ask me how I found out. lol

lmao... 30GB a day... They couldn't handle my bandwidth rapage if they think 30GB a day is bad. I get closer to 40GB a day... :D

Only problem is I spend to damn much money on blank DVD's :(

Update on my experience...had a $8.95 unlimited account...their fees went up & I enquired my account & was told I would remain on $8.95...them my fee went up to $10.95 so I enquired again...they said it was a mistake but couldn't get their billing company to readjust it...they cancelled my account & said re-signup using Paypal...but I told them that the option was only available at 50 gigs p.m...they offered to give me an upgrade 100 gigs p.m. at no extra cost...I don't download anywhere near 100 gigs in any month so I accepted...also signed up to a 6 month option that was a couple of bucks cheaper...

Their retention rates etc are still fine with me...

Haven't happened to me and I do not believe it. Only got a question from my ISP asking what the hell I'm doing :P
