I got 17 out of 20, but that's because I'm an apostrophobic (and I also didn't know the meaning of the word "Avarice")

I'm no English major but really thought that test elementary. I mean I expected at least SAT callibber.

I expect the math test will be better.

I scored 13/20. God this test reminded me of High School.

Tests are so stupid, and don't mean anything. So I didn't know what Taciturn, Ostentatious, and Avarice meant, who gives a shit? Those are three words I will never ever use. So Taciturn means quiet, great. I still won't use the word, why not just say quiet? It's much easier.

It's not everyday someone comes up to you and says "Man RTJ is so Ostentatious!" Why? Because you'd say something like "Wtf are you talking about? Speak English man!"

[/Rant]

:frusty:

MagicNakor

Well, taciturn has a different tone to it than quiet does. Ostentatious is generally used to describe things, not people (eg: ostentatious furniture).

Surprising, considering English was always one of my worst subjects. I think that was due to the fact that I was generally hell bent on proving the teachers wrong and correcting their spelling.

LOL. The last question asks: What's missing from this sentence?

Its all over now

Answers

1. Comma
2. Apostrophe
3. Hyphen
4. Question Mark

While 2 does seem like the correct answer, there still remains the fact that a period is missing to make this a complete sentence.

I got 18/20 right, missed the first question and I couldn't recall the definition of avarice.
