Half Life 2 Problem

i fix computers freelance for some extra cash, and i was at this one business emporium today and the guy wants me to install half life 2 for him, but he doesnt have the internet and has no intention of doing so, he just wants to play the single player game, he bought the copy but the gay steam shit wont let it run, ive tried googleing but find nothing, i knew you guys would know the answer. is there anyway he can play hl2 without connecting to the internet?

p.s. he gave me the game home to try to get it to work for him. if i cant get it working for him i'll make a copy for myself and steal his reg code. i mean :naughty:

Legally you need the net to play it. If you don't you'll have to download the Half Life 2 Special Edition DVD - PROViSION, even the VENGANCE release needs the net some way or another.
