I was removing the thermal paste from my cpu and GPU, and i rigged my comp back up so i could talk to a friend, and I forgot to put the fucking heatsink on. It started up with the blue screen of death and i put it back on, the cpu was fuckin blazing when i touched it. Luckly this things still working. is there anything i should do a precautionary measure? Im gonna go out and buy the paste it a little while. :ermm:  :O

That was dumb thing to do. :P

If it's working now most liekly nothing happened to it.
The new processors and P4s have heat sensing on them so it turns off when it gets to a certain temp, so you're lucky. :P

Yes. Whenever you are about to remove the heatsink, unplug the power cord and store it away from your work area. Only bring the cable back when everything is checked and doublechecked.
