Yes 550MB is big but it's still smaller than Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5.

Hopefully it will allow a custom install.

Most of the current Nero apps, I left on the disc.

I do like it's DVD semi-authoring tools though.

Most of the stuff I dl'd like Dr. Who for example, I made multi-episode DVDs with menu's and chapters.

I only use Nero to Burn your basic stuff, such as Data...audio cds...etc. I'm not sure what else I'd need, because I never get any errors with version 6.
Their DVD encoder sucks really...I would say TMPGEnc Express 3 is the best "user friendly" dvd encoder, since it'll import nearly any video format (even quicktime and realmovie)

there r many problems on that leak, only few lucky people got to work it perfictly, i my self couldnt get to work nero burning rom but the express worked out. check TB if u dont belive me. i rolled back to nero 6.

I just installed but I get this error when I run it...

'This application has failed to stsart because UDFImporter.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem.'

Reinstalling didn't fix it tho.

Well, the version I'm testing (DL via BT) seems to work: (Nero.Burning.Rom.7.Premium.KeyGen.Incl-FOURTWENTY). The only problems I've encountered are some of the sounds files were being pointed to the old "ahead" folder instead of the new "nero 7" folder, which resulted in no sounds being played when a burn was complete or any prompt whatsoever. It was easy enough to fix.

Wouldn't it be funny if you downloaded Nero 7, installed it thru DAEMON tools, and then tried to burn it onto CD with Nero 7, but it recognises itself and gives all your info to the feds? :crazy:

No need to use DAEMON tools. It installs fine directly from the HDD. You can use Nero to burn Nero without problems.

Im am having VERY BIG PROBLEMS with this thing. I downloaded the final addiction version and nero buring rom ended up not working before i reinstalled it and wave editor somewho moved my music folder.

I've had this for a week or so, didn't know it hadn't been released yet.

To be honest I prefer Nero 6, tho I may get used to it if I uninstall some of the crap that came along with it. There's about 20 diferent apps installed by default.

I found no actual errors with it thus far, however, there does seem to be this additional drive icon called "Nero Scout" that appears on your "My Computer" area that I cannot seem to make disappear. The actual Scout portion of Nero is disabled and I made damn certain to not install "Nero Home" altogether.

Hi,

Just upgraded to Nero 7.0 Ultra and having a few problems with it.

First off my music cd's i burn all seem to skip a few times at random places during some songs:cry: and then when i burn an .avi film the burn process seems to go ok until it get sto the end... it just won't finish , the light on my cd drive turns green as if it has but Nero just won't get to the "Burn complete" part and i have to end up shutting down Nero and my computer to get my disc back out again:frusty: which is a real pain.

Is anyone else getting these problems with Nero?
And does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix them?
Or should i just to revert back to nero 5.xxx version i used before?

It depends on your setup ,no dvd - w stick with nero 5 . I like ver. 7 but the language pak one is a waste of space . :)

also check that dma is turned on for your dvd drive.

control panel / system /hardware (tab)/ device manager / ide ata, atapi

pick the ide channel that your dvd drive is on. mine is on secondary

go to the advanced setting tab and make sure current transfer mode is set to dma not pio.
