Updating Office Xp Pro

when i install the sevice pack 1 from office update website it says
error 1328: error applying patch to file c:\config.msi\PTCC.tmp. It has already probably been updated by other means and can no longer be modified by this patch. For more infotmation contact your patch vendor. but i haven't updated it.....anyone knows how to get around this??

i'm sorry but your suggestion did not work......i troed exactly what u said but the same error came up again...... :( :( :( :(

Don't go to office update. Go to the download center and download the service packs 1 and 2 to your desktop . Open control panel/ add remove programs and click on add new programs. browse to the service packs on your desktop and double click. click ignore on any error messages.

now i get the same error....
error 1328...blah...c:\config.msi\pt15a.tmp......blah... i keep pressing retry a million times...but nothing happens.... i have done just as instructed... :blink: :blink: :blink: :blink:
