I Cant Get Onto Soulseek

I have been trying to get onto soulseek for the past 48 hrs it comes up that the server is down is everyone else had this problem??? it has happened ever since i updated it to version 145 is the server really down or is something f*cking it up?

just keep trying it, cos theres a lot of peopple registering and coming over atm, itll get there eventually,

PS: i assume youve set up ur internet connection right?? ;)

Or remove everything that has to do with SS from your pc and do a clean install?
(it still takes some to scan files and connect, be patient for 2-5 minutes)
It is also possible that you have to connect manualy, in the upperleft corner, click connect and be patient again)

I tryed doing what u both said and it still wont connect it just comes up with the message that the servers down maybe i shouldnt have upgraded it worked fine up until i did :(

its definitely the latest version, 145? Id prob redl it and try again, cos ifit is the old version, or the beta, methinks, then it won't connect. basically the server went down cos of all the people getting the new verrsion.

the old version has noone connected to it, you can't get our files from there, so youre better off with the new one, trust me, im a doctor.

i know its a pain, but try to redownload, and clean install (again, sorry :( ) and see what happens. It should connect superquick on the new one.

Make sure you use the current version (http://www.slsk.org/download.html).
Might sound stupid, but if you cant connect its sounds like your trying to connect to the old version which isnt running anymore.....

Yes its deffently the 145 version maybe the server is down like u say tryed reinstalling it didnt work :( same thing

ohh yeah i forgot dont know if its worth mentioning but the error comes up straight away as soon as I open it The error that the server is down" shouldnt it scan my files first then say that?? i wish it would work i have over 5 000 MP3 to share with everyone too :(

Havn&#39;t had any messages that server is down when i signed on...when did you download 145? <_<

Server is up all day so thats not the problem.

When you get that message, trying closing just the error dialogue box, leaving the client open. Then pull down the file menu (top, all the way to the left) and click on connect. Sometimes that works for me when I get the server down error.

I D/LOADED VERSION 140 of soulseek 2 days ago and im getting microsoft visual runtime library errors every 30 min or so programme terminated if i press ok it goes of and s/seek closes if i leave it alone its oki-sh for a while
its a great prog better than napster with all the latest music trouble is u have to get u stuff from 1 user not different users at once like kazaa which is a bitch and slows it down, now can i d/load the newest version 145 OVER the existing one(140 )and not lose my tunes ?

Don&#39;t feel bad, I&#39;ve tried a few times, and I gave up. I just can&#39;t justify the benefits of SoulSeek. I mean, I got great speeds, no doubt about that. However, it was very hard to configure, and I had to constantly add users. I share over 3600 mp3s, mostly full albums, at 192kbps, and people actually complained because they had to search for files. Some people even banned me because my files weren&#39;t "organized" to their standards. With all due respect, SS is garbage. <_< :huh: B)

Thants it ive had enough goodbye SOULseek ive got pissed off enough :angry: :angry: I&#39;m staying with kazaa to share my MP3s im fed up trying to get it to go ive tryed everthing u all said read the FAQ reinstall about 50 times literitly wasted my time tryed to get this damm thing to go and ive had enough :angry:
