MIRC Peerguardian

Does peerguardian do anything for MIRC? I've heard it works well and is necessary for p2p programs, but how about mirc? And if i'm downloading music and movies, which is a safer bet, mirc or bittorrent?

you dont need peerguardian if you only use mirc.

The bots you download from (on warez channels) are 'safe'
