download the newest version of PG2 (6b) from http://peerguardian.sf.net

It has links to the newest safest lists. ;)

Everyone I speak to about PG says it's useless since the piracy enforcers are not stupid enough to use IP addresses that are tied to any anti piracy agencies, movie studios or music labels etc. So which is it? Is it of any use at all?

Oh, you mistook what I wrote. By not working I meant that my blocklists werent updating, and I didnt know why, and the second poster solved the problem! :]

Well, its obvously not 100% protection as theres probably gunna be IPs that we dont know about.. But its just stupid NOT to block the IPs that we do know of. Better safe than sorry. ;)

Then allow traffic on the HTTP port ;)

One of the reasons why PeerGuardian is better than Protowall is that you can have PG enabled and block the bad IPs, yet allow traffic on port 80 (surfing remains un-interupted). :)
