these seem compatible. make sure you're trying to insert the ram the right way round
remember it can also be hard to insert the ram first time round, just be patient and don't force it

make sure you're putting the ram in the right way round first. the pins are split into two uneven sections, one is 110 pins and the other is 74 i think. make sure the little plastic bridge in the dimm slot is in the right bit. you need to push it in till the plastic retaining pins click in. good luck and be patient

- open the little white levers at either side (ie push them away from the socket)
- Place the RAM into the socket, matching up the long and short bits of the stick with the long and short bits in the socket
- Push down on the RAM at one side until the white lever snaps into place
- push down on the other side until the lever clicks into place

Never use excessive force, you'll either damage the equipment or yourself.

To release RAM later, just open the little levers at either side and the stick will pop out.

Hope this helps :)

Once you figure out something it would be considerate of you to tell us what worked. There are other people who read this and you could be of some help to them too.

ya. when i first got my ram stick, and my abit kr7a, the ram was a bitch to get in also. Just took some time, and steady, but heavy pressure on each side. Not like the old edo days, tahts for sure.

Are u using a bootable windows cd? Then just set ur cdrom drive as the first boot device in your bios, then boot and install from the cd.
