Just a question so dont jump on me for it

Why is the rule about Key Gens/No CD Cracks in place on a file sharing forum?

Doesn't make sense to me

Cracking games and stuff = illegal.

We don't want any trouble...

We don't post actual links to copyrighted stuff.

Well i was looking for a Generals Key Gen & found your forum through a yahoo search

I registered, looked for the appropriate forum & then found your sticky rules

I just found it weird that a filesharing forum doesn't allow offsite links to these types of files

I helped run a massive forum & we allowed offsite links

We obviously didn't get into any trouble because the files were not on our server

I came here thinking you was my problem solver

Anyway i'll stick around and see what you guys are all about, it seems a half decent community

yes yes. We may talk about stuff like that but we dont want to be in trouble. Where will we go to talk about this if the forum gets shut down.

<grumble>

We always used to be allowed to talk about cracks, hacks or any kind of pirate stuff.

No-one can shut us down for talking about cracks. They're not even illegal, let alone linking to them.

I really don't think there's a need to be so uptight about that kind of stuff - this board's troubles have only ever been rogue admin, never the law.

Aye, this forum was very active back when klite was popular, cracks and etc were talked about everywhere on the forums. Its totally changed since then.

Glad to see its provoked a reaction

Personally i see nothing wrong in it

Maybe the admins should discuss this in AC & maybe get back to us

It seems a shame that this part of gaming should be outlawed when the site wont be breaking any laws
