Don't know very much about this stuff, but as I understand it your PS2 has to have a mod chip installed.

I think mod chips are only if you want to play a burnt game. I have no idea about the DVD capabilities of the PS2, since I have a DVD player for that. ;)

Yes, this has been covered many times. You need a video card with a TV OUT, and a sound card with AUDIO OUT. You'll also need a trip down to radio shack for some "RCA cables", that's what they are called, and a 3.5mm converter that changes the audio out on your sound card to the audio in on your tv/receiver. Need more info, search the forums. ;)

How about posting the filename, filesize, and file-extension of this movie. What type of media did you burn it to? Then check your PS2 manual and tell us what format it supports playing.

You'll ruin your TV pretty fast, though, if you're always using the TV-out.

What? The TV OUT is on your video card, not on your TV. How would that hurt anything?

do a search about playing movies on your ps2. there was atopic that
covered it all a few days ago.

i disagree. for what reason would your tv be damaged.
its being accessed in the same way your vrc or dvd player
or playstition connects to your tv.
