Out of these three harddrives , which would be the best one for me to get. I am planning on adding it onto my onto my current pc system right now. I currently have a 160GB Western didgital SATA hard drive. I've had it for about a year now, and i would really like to get more space. The maxtor diamond has a 16mb cache , does this mean it is the fastest/best one...?

I am a Seagate fan, primarily because of the silent operation and 5 year warrantee, but have heard good things about the Maxtor.
Not sure what good the Maxtor's 16mb cache would be on what is primarily a storage drive so I'd probably stay with Seagate.

I have a Seagate drive in this computer. I have a Maxtor in the computer upstairs. I haven't had a problem with either one of them.

Both are fine drives.

If you've got a SATA II capable board go for the Hitachi for best performance. If you've only got SATA I capability it won't give you any advantage.
