Hey,

Didnt really know where to post this, I suspect it is a software issue, but anyway...

Sometimes movies that I download (DivX..AVI's) have the dvd commentary over the top of the soundtrack all throughout the movie.

Is this something I can switch off?? Or is it the ripper has messed it up

I use media centre 2005 to play the movies.

Thanks

QP

Weird!
Sounds like the ripper has ripped the wrong part of the DVD.... or with the wrong settings.. often the dvd commentary soundtrack is one of the bonus features of a DVD that nobody ever watches... :ermm:

Hence, I don't think you can get rid of it if it's been ripped that way..

Someone else may now disagree?

Didn't you read?

I use media centre 2005 to play the movies.
Try Videolan (http://www.videolan.org/) and when the movie is playing, right click on the movie and select audio track.

Normally, the commentary is left out to conserve space. I've watched movies with it sometimes, but only on the best of the best. Sometimes the people talking are pretty boring, other times they're pretty informative. The family guy commentary is pretty cool.

Thanks peeps, I suspect as Barb says it was just a dodgy rip, odd that I got it off filelist. Which is normally such a good site.

Wolf...It was just annoying, you couldnt really hear the words in the film.

Virtual...Thanks but I cant really be bothered to try a different media player, ive got media centre nicely setup in my lounge attached to the telly and use the ms remote to control it all. If I changed media players I would have to get up of the sofa and I dont want to see this movie that much!

Its only happened a couple of times, the time before was a family guy dvd rip.

Very odd!

Thanks again

QP :)
