Yeah, SnnY knows loads about PCs - and is a decent chap - but his penchant for posting there has cursed not only his but also his entire family's computers. They're always breaking.

Dave posts there all the time (:dry:) and the last I checked - he had to run his PC without a case 'cause it kept overheating. Mulder was doing a computer course in college (I think) yet he posted there and had all manner of problems.

People who post there more than anywhere else - like VB and rossco - are shunned by Canadian women folk :(

I posted there once, ages ago, when the HD of the PC I was making for my sister's kids wasn't recognised by the OS. However, I thought it was more software related so I think I got away with it :unsure:

I think that's actually what happens. After HardwareWorld destroys the individual, the only thing they're fit for is posting in GameboyWorld :(

I haven't heard much from SnnY since he went to Japan, either they don't have the interweb over there yet or his mobo spontaneously combusted. Again.

I'm afraid she's been contaminated too. I gave her advice regarding RAM the other day. :(
Knowing her a bit, I think she's got some natural antibodies and will help us find some sort of vaccine.

Guess what.

I received the repaired card today. It was detected by windows quite normally.
But when I tried t install the drivers, it failed in exactly the same way.
Now I have to send it back to Germany again, which will cost me an additional 28€.
Absolutely brilliant.
