[news=http://img306.imageshack.us/img306/5117/apple8xo.gif]SAN FRANCISCO People who track the tech industry are expecting Apple Computer to introduce a new video-enabled iPod next week.
After getting e-mail invitations to attend a press conference, many industry insiders and analysts suspect Apple will unveil a first generation video-capable iPod.
The Cupertino-based company has made a fortune from the sale of its iPod digital music player, but it said nothing else in its e-mail other than the press event will take place October 12th in San Jose.A spokesman for Apple has declined to provide details about the press conference.Speculation over next week's event comes after Apple reportedly held talks earlier this year with recording companies as it sought to license music videos to sell through its iTunes Music Store.
