It's not the socket type that determines the top speed.
It's a combination of the CPU, chipset, RAM, HDD, Graphic card etc.

He wasn't asking for top speed, just which one was the latest type :P

Yes, the latest AMD platform is the 939.
Jump on it quickly...due for replacement (or supercession) in early 2007 when AMD moves to DDR3 RAM.
