What's your newsgroup server retention at? Is the NZB new or old?

Sounds like you're using one past your NZB retention age.

eh, think of it kind of like a torrent ... you need a news'reader' program with nzb support.

if you *have* such a program, set up properly, and you still are not getting the actual files, what newsserver are you using? free w/isp or a paid service?

i have grab it. I connect to news.snet.sbcglobal.net i can connect to groups so i know it works. When i download something it downloads very quick.

The only thing i successfully downloaded were some pictures.

Like I said I think it's older than your retention... you get txt files with this.

which is why you need to find out your retention and how old the nzb actually is.

As I recall they dont even allow binaries and those that they do if any have crap retention and completion.
Youll need a payserver most likely and I suggest NewsHosting via our referral of course...

Are you saying the actual nzb file is nothing but txt or that the files that you download with the nzb are all txt? It sounds like either a retention/completion problem, or your not using the nzb properly. Or possibly a problem with your binary decoder in GrabIt.

I'm leaning towards completion/retention just because your not paying for access, typically the ones that are provided by your ISP are absolutely terrible. However, mine has 3 days worth of retention with decent completion, but they limit my speed to 100kbps. :(

The completed files are always text files and are 0KB.
