England are playing teh shyte. Beckham got sent off, like the way how Lampard has stepped up and has had a few good corners and free kicks.

If it stays 1-0 to England (10minutes left) i'll watch the Czech V Holland match because if Holland win then England will qualify as one of the second best runner ups. Plus the game will rawk, who remembers the game in the group stages of Euro 2004.

Diving Austrian bastard got Becks sent off, tv replayes he didn't even touch him

At least it should make Wednesday night's game interesting, it will give Lampard, Gerrard and Wright-Phillips the chance to play their natural game roles rather than fit around Becks.

Also having Rooney and Owen up front on Wednesday will be great 'cos Owen looked teh hot today whereas Peter Crouch was just a gangly leggy fuck

Wel, we're through but defending must improve if we're want to make a decent chance of being worldchampions.
Funny how we ensured England and Poland qualifying for the WC.
Anyhow, congrats to the Netherlands, England en Poland.

31 isnt old for a soccer player

This year we had a midfielder who played for the first time in the national team @ the age of 35

Teddy Sheringham is 39

i think the peak age for a centre back is generally considered to be about 30-33ish

Tony Adams retired at 36, at the time he was one of the Premiership's best defenders

Central defenders can be a bit older because they don't have to do that much running.

Dan, have another look at the replay, Becks DID make contact, it was the "delayed reaction" that made it look bad, and yes, it was a dive, no way would that type of contact cause a player to collapse like that.

The ref totally spoiled that game for both sides, even before the sending off.

I think that's why im so slow. I've lways played defence. I played mid a bit this summer and I was pretty good on the right. Even when I play midfield I tend to hang back on defence a bit. I tihnk I'm gonna try to be a striker or attacking-midfielder or goalie this year for school team.

Running lots sucks - I refuse to play in midfield and if they put me on the wing instead of centre-forward, I sulk.
