if they can get The Man Show's host Doug Stanhope (http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00078VLYO.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg) into the mix, they've got a potential million-seller on their hands.

Why would you say such a thing? He has absolutely no say in whether the cops beat up an old man. It's not like he hired them.

Doesn't look like that little old man was doing a Rodney King thing.

He apparently was querying a black cop on horseback as to when curfew began so he could judge whether he had time to find a place to buy cigarettes before he was late, when another cop told him to move along or some such and he told that cop he was being rude for interrupting his conversation with the first cop.

I'd guess the first cop is a bit conflicted by "the thin blue line" just now...

i didn't know what to say about the tape, really, aside from a bad-taste pun about the kind of videos that are normally recorded in new orleans. there doesn't seem to be a whole lot to say about it, other than "that's a damn ugly & embarrassing sight." we could look for spin, but the video speaks so much for itself that it doesn't need spin. the old dude might be giving a too fair assessment when he says he reckons race wasn't a factor... but at the very least that's a video of some cops doing the Dirty Harry Shuffle on a pretty harmless-lookin' senior citizen, which is bad enough, as it is.
