Why would you want to walk on water when there's so much land about?

Gills.
Gills are what you need.
In fact, why doesn't anyone invent gills? It can't be that hard, loads of fish have got them...
Seriously, does anyone know if anyone is trying to invent gills?

"Okay, so how about just cutting out the middle man and going straight to the gills? This was an option that scientists in the '60s tried to chase down, but the results were still less than encouraging. Semi-permeable membranes had a lot of promise as the basis for an artificial gill, since they allow oxygen to pass through and not water, and they made for really cool laboratory demonstrates where you plunged a mouse in a box fitted with membranes into an aquarium and watch it stay alive-- alive, but cheesed off. Just wondered what you wanted - tho' looking at it now, it does seem abrupt. Jonno would say that I should have posted a smiley too but if people start listening to him, the world would be a frightening place.
So ... s'up, dude :naughty:

I could be you I suppose...if you were female and lived in a lean-to in a shanty town! Although I'd never drive a Mondeo so maybe not. :P

Hehe, well that was a rod - I don't have a Mondeo.
I definitely have lesbian leanings and while I've never lived in a shanty town, I stayed overnight in Birmingham once (:fear:) - so maybe we could be one and the same.

Hmm. Its a possibility what with all the holes in the fabric of space and time, and I suppose the definition of shanty-town is subjective. One mans' shanty is another girls' shag-pad and all that.
I have a welsh male alter-ego. Fab!
And Gills.

Thjey are working on a device which actually managesd to filter oxygen from water
hence enabling you to stay under much longer than the diving tanks system
