According to some reviews and teh interweb buzz the singleplayer rawks and the multiplayer is a bad of shyte. Also you'll need to block some ID servers with your firewall or rip out your network card when installing and playing as it tried to authenticate the CD Key (Like D3:ROE did).

An online games getting a crack/patch is very rare, don't get your hopes and certainly don't expect the scene to have to do it.

@Abu - Harder copy protections, if you don't like it, don't download it. If you know advanced decompiling, opcodes, hexcodes and a lot more then please do start cracking games.

Well you might have noticed a virusscanner called Kaspersky antivirus gives a virus warning. To clear the CCD name we like to tell you that we too where upping it and CCD beat us fair and square but We also got the same virus warning. We called up with ravengames ( why would we not we had the game

It doesn't matter where it is no, if you're that worried just pick somewhere random half way down the list and make a new line and put it in there.

If you put the first line in you can play Singleplayer for free without being asked for a CD Key and such, if you put the second line in you can play Multiplayer for free as long as you connect directly to the server. If you put both lines in you can play Single and Online modes.

Reviews for Q4 are pretty low in cojunction with the hype Q4 had been given. I was thinking about getting this, but is this any better than D3?

Q4 and D3 look to be quite the same...
I haven't played Q4 yet.. but as far as D3 is concered i have.. it took me less tha 24 hours to finish the game and is not that great..
D3 has these dark coridors which just make the game pretty bad and less enjoyable rather than scary...The game is very easy becouse has very predictable opponents.
Q4 on the other hand they say is the same as doom 3 with just a bit more light!
Maybe it would be better to get Q4!

Mini Peerzy Review

Right from the get go you can tell it's the D3 engine, and you can also tell they've had more time to work on it. It looks and runs a lot better and smoother. The opening cutscene lasts about 30seconds yet tells you all you need to know to get you going. You land on a planet and need to kill all the bad guys. It really feels like a war zone, Call Of Duty style and all.

The first real level requires you to get to a chechpoint, go back the way you came and get a medic and bring him back to the chechpoint, slightly boring but okay. Also so far i've only come across two types or enemy, the main one, kinda like a big human with robot parts to him, and that giant dog thing from Doom 3 but with metal and robot parts on him, they look good but after the 500th one, they look indifferent. Also when you kill anything it stays on the floor for 2-5 seconds then turns into a green wireframe mesh and evapourates, so when i was going back to get my medic all that was left from a bloody battle i had fought it in 5 minutes ago was a tiny blood stain.

Sound is quality, like i said it feels like a war zone so theres a lot of bombs and gun fire arround you all the time, this also makes it quite hard to findout what your suppose to be doing or who your suppose to be talking to, for example as soon as you wake up on your crashed ship you look arround and people are dying, and you explore a bit and the further you are away from this guy the less loud he is, so you cannot hear what he's saying unless you search him out right away. Meaning when you do find out who's talking all he says is"...you got that soldier", funny enough no i didn't.

I played it on the standard medium settings and had no problems, finding it slightly easy at times, not because the ammount of enemies and there's lots but just at how much damage you could take.

Because the bad guys are some kinda robot army human machine thingy and they evapourate after a few seconds they take all there ammo with them meaning the makers have had to put boxes of the stuff everywhere for you, along with health and body armor, kinda unrealistic.

There is a autosave and a quicksave (F5) key which is helpful and the levels so far have been quick short, taking me 5-10minutes each.

Overall it's a good game, fun to play but certainly not a classic.

How did you find out ID was making this game? Let me guess someone told you? Via a website, an email, msn or whatever someone told you so guess what if someone hadn't told you, you wouldn't know it yet hench why i mentioned it. I also compared the engine to how it was applied to both games, as it certainly looks different in Quake 4 than in Doom 3.

Your max download speed in theory would be about 120kb/s but you shouldn't expect anything above 115kb/s because of headers and such.

Yes, a passport is a form of ID in the UK, and when you create a bank account you need a valid form of ID so they can check that you are not wanted by the police or not who you say you are. It helps the police cut wanted criminals from money supplies and makes sure the banks don't get scammed by someone who pretends to be someone else.

Nah i tried to play this game, but i only got 17 frames per second even on low settings.. I'll try and hold off from playing it until i upgrade to skt 939 and get a 6600Gt..

6600gt is a great card, it compares to an x800gto smart one..

6600gt is a great card, it compares to an x800gto smart one..Its still not that great for the games coming out lately. I like my games running in higher resolutions (1600x1200) smoother. :frusty: This card sucks at high resolutions.

what about the x800gto 256 mb that is for pci-e x16.Yep, thats prolly the highest resolution u would want to run it at before it gets choppy. I don't know if they exist but make sure you get a 256Mb version of the card. I'm not sure how it runs performance wise as I have the 128Mb version but some games reccommend 256Mbs of video RAM (Bf2 in particular).

Nope never played Q2 or Q3. It feels like the single player but with human opponents pretty much, same game speed, same level types and so on.

Well decided to take a look at this and after playing the first section of it I wasnt very impressed. Had to turn brightness all the way up along with other adjustments to make it bearable. Although still didnt care for the coloring and look and feel of this. Not so far anyway. Was also wondering if anyones done any setup for a secondary remote such as a ps remote which I have via a usb adaptor...

get a new monitor

as for controls, its a pc FPS so expect to use a keyboard ;)

the brightness in the options menu(quake 4) can be adjusted higher or lower too

I played this on the 360 and I like it. Haven't got to the part where you become a Strogg though. It also came with a second disk, Quake II and man that thing looked 100 yrs old in comparsion!!

lol. I got to the Strogg medical facility, and they perform a surgery on you, where they cut off your leg, and turn you into a strogg. Not only was it sick but it was kinda hilarious hearing the charcter screming.
