I am building a computer for my friend, I do not want it to be too expensive. I have built one computer before (my own). My friend has a monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers that work fine, so we are just talking about the case and everything that it contains. Here is what I have so far:

Interesting build.

Check out this: Another similar motherboard to that one: http://www.pcstats.com/releaseview.cfm?ReleaseID=1301

Get 2x256 DDR400 RAM so that it runs in dual channel mode.
Get a power supply with more than 300W.
Look at NEC for a DVD burner.

Is Dual channel easy to install? Just put them both in, or is there something a little more complicated?

Thanks

EDIT: That mobo is amazing, How much is it? It isn't on new egg.

Dual channel is very easy. One stick of RAM in each channel on the board and you're done.

Not on newegg yet. I just found it at the Gigabyte website: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/MotherBoard/Products/Products_Spec_GA-K8N51PVMT-9.htm

i have a question abt the writer, LITE-ON Black IDE DVD Burner Model SOHW-1693S:
- does it come with testing software included(k-probe), like PlexTools in the Plextor package ??
