Lamesy, WeeMouse and I were coming home from the park today when we went past my local shops and who was filming there…

Jet Li – Hollywood Star

A shock we were not expecting as why on earth would Jet Li and his co-star for the movie Morgan Freeman be in Glasgow. They are filming Danny the Dog along with Bob Hoskins, with Jet playing Danny and the film being set in Sunny Glasgow.

It was ironic that they had to use sprinklers in Glasgow to get the rain effect as we were having a brilliant sunny day. So after finding out what was happening we left then I went back down with a Lethal Weapon 4 and got Jet to sign it and we talked for a bit.

Oh yeah topic of thread, em….

Have you met anyone famous???

My sister's a script supervisor, she's worked on Star Wars Attack of the Clones, James Bond Die Another Day, The Bill, Holby City. She's just left ThunderBirds which is being directed by Johnaton Frakes (Command William Riker Star Trek The Next Generation) and now she's working on Troy with Brad Pitt. I seem to be getting quite a large collection of sign photos from her.

Johnaton Frakes signed photo turned up this morning which I'm really pleased about as I'm a little bit of a Star Trek fan........OK so I've got over 300+ episodes all of which I've bought....OK happy now!

Richard Branson, I was sat next to him on a flight, he seems an ok guy.

Robbie Coltrane, was at the table next to him in a restaurant and then we had a few drinks with him and Robert Carlyle, they are both really funny.

Unfortunately I missed Kylie Minogue by 30 seconds in Glasgow :( :( :(

He's an embarrassment to the music industry, what was that song he did, oh yes Green Door utter crap. He's only just beaten by Rick Ghastly who's got a face you wouldn't tire of slapping. Another example of the benefits to using birth control. :P

I met 2 of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers once (can't remember which 2!), They came into the record shop I was working in, Bought loads of old Soul albums, told us how they'd beem kicked off the local golf course, & gave us tickets to there gig that night! Top blokes :D
Plus, I stopped George Clinton from falling off the crush barriers @ Brixton academy, when he was walking on them during a P Funk Allstars gig!!
Anyone want my autograph? >_< lol
Oh yes, I almost forgot, When he was at uni, Layo (of Layo & Bushwaka) used to come to the club I worked. I was always told if you can't say anything nice about someone, dom't say anything at all, so I wont!

When I went to school for advertising, I took an elective course in fine arts. My teacher was the late Henry Koerner. Alright, so you don't know him, unless your are an art history buff.

He was amazing. He did a lot of those oil painted TIME magazine covers, popular in the 60's and 70's. A lot of his work is seen in America's Museums today. He also was a court artist for the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials. I helped him frame and matt a few those court sketches that he sold at an auction one year. Each sketch sold for no less than $12,000. That was when I realized that maybe my teacher was sombody important.

I however, have no such sinister associations but am guilty of shaking the hands of John Travolta in Vancouver,
Sean Young in Seattle and Gordie Howe in Toronto.

Just their hands-their bodies were off somewhere else

But seriously, "Mr. Hockey " had hands like catcher's mitts---freakin' huge! Vinny Barbarino's were smaller than Ms. Young's.

Way too much info-I know. ;)

At the record shop at the airport where I worked:

David Beckham (was just after he had his first kid and after Man U's treble - he signed a Man Utd: The Treble video for me)
Ronnie O'Sullivan - British snooker player, bought Only Fools and Horses videos.
Philippa Forrester and Emma Forbes - very nice looking British TV presenters
Sat next to Lenny Henry

Also served LTJ Bukem, Goldie and the British hip hop mc Blade.

Also went to school with a premiership footballer who played in the world cup, as well as a very famous tv chef whose drumkit is still in my garage, and an actor who was in Count of Monte Cristo.

Come on people... meeting someone isnt seeing them in the distance... you have to exhange words, or some greeting, touch, something...

Anthoney thomas (chicago bears)
charles Woodson (LA Raiders)
Rick Savage (bassist from def leppard)
Toby Mac (from the christian band dc talk)
Adam Sandler (after a stand up show at my college)
Rich Eisen (ESPN sports center anchor)

wow, 4 of the six all happened when i was at college...

brian jacques.i was a big fan of his redwall series when i was a little kid. i kinda met him, book signing. asked him a question, got an answer, he signed a couple of my books. not sure if this qualifies as "meeting".

funny story actually, i showed up really late to the place where he was signing/telling stories. so i walk in and this lady holds out slips and tells me to take one, i take one and it says "20". i ask her what its for, and she said it was for the book signing line.. CHA-CHING!
there were probably over 400 people in the small little bookstore and i managed to be #20 even after showing up late.

and since i bike, i met a rider named allan cooke at my local bmx shop. non of u probably know him though :P
