Count the number of pins for the motherboard power connector.

Your power supply has 20 pins.
Your motherboard has 24 Pins.

Get a DVD burner instead of a combo unit: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827152053

i take it that you were gonna buy another psu anyway as cheapo case psu's usually never last. dvd burner is the next thing to do cause cdr's just cant hold much lately. that video card will work pretty well, later on you'll probably have to upgrade, but atleast you have a pciE slot for the next line of cards :D

Damn is there a way to change the 20 pin to a 24 pin maybe like an adaptor or something. I don't plan on buying a new Psu unless I really have to because most of computers I use that came with Psu worked fine. Plus Im on a budget so I can't really afford to spend 40$ - 60$

Get a better case, get a NEC dvd burner for 50$, and get a better video card ( x800 GTO2 can be modded to x850xt and only 200$, since the 6600 gt is already lagging in games like AO3, plain 6600 is even worse)

case, antec sonata 2, or something of that sort

link to the crazy card i mentioned

Lol I don't have an extra 200$ to pull out of my ass :P It was hard enough already to pull 600$ out.

Heck yea it does! Nah lol j/k. I like that case but I can't afford for a Psu, But I think there may be an adaptor to that 20 pin connector atleast I hope there is gonna keep searching Newegg :P. If any of you knows any good cases around 30 - 60$ with the psu with it tell me it has to have lights and clear side. Ive pretty much looked at most cases though so I doubt anyone would find one.

There are adaptors for 20 to 24 pins. I'm not sure where to get them.

i've read on other forums where people just plugged the 20 pin connector into the 24pin slot and it worked fine.

your budget beats mine, by alot :p. x800gto is a good recommend tho, it's right up there with top cards(once you overclock).

A quote right from the manual (you no that thing no one wants to read lol)....." Note: It is strongly recommended using the ATX2.0 power supply with 24-pin and 4-pin plugs."Think I would go for the proper power supply. In a month you will be saying I should have bought the proper one .I know I am :)But my board says I can use the 20 pin a long as I don't upgrade to a pci express card :(

Your buying a cheap PC with no extra's, in 2 months you'll be complaining because it doesn't play FEAR good enough, or you cannot burn any new games (Yes, 80% of new games are DVD now) or movies, or how your motherboard sucks. What is the reason for buying the PC? A gaming PC? An internet PC?

It's a budget Pc guys... It's not going to be the greatest in the world. I'm sorry I can't afford computers like you guys but i'm trying my hardest in what I can do right now. Yes I understand that the Psu in the computer is Pure Shit. I am limited with cash right now but I am also trying to run a business selling computers. Not making much money off it right now but I am trying. If it doesn't play FEAR oh well? I already have FEAR on the computer i'm playing now and i'll continue to play it on this computer. I'm not going to be gaming as much as I used to because I'm a half a year closer to going to College. I'm building these computers so that I can make money and pay myself to college. So if any of you has nothing better to say except say my computers that I am building sucks. Please keep your comments to yourself. But I do enjoy getting some help around here as I have learned alot and continue to learn everyday. Anyways I have already bought all the parts, I didn't get the burner because the shipping cost me $50. This is my second computer, and the last computer I built and half of you sayed was shit actually turned out pretty good I know it was a little outdated but it worked, I sold it and made a small profit off it. Maybe the guy was an idiot? I don't know but I sold it and he told me that it worked well and couldn't be happier. After he told me that I couldn't stop now I am on this second computer with stats way higher then the last computer.

If you want to build a PC for selling then you can look into these motherboards: GeForce 6100 chipset (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Manufactory=&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=719%3A18124&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&description=&MinPrice=&MaxPrice=&SubCategory=22&Submit=Property)

Nvidia onboard graphics. Saves the price of a graphics card.

Or this with DVI output and faster GPU: http://www.firingsquad.com/news/pressreleasearticle.asp?searchid=155

If I sell a computer with onboard graphics card the price of selling it goes down and nobody would want it.

A point about your chosen graphics card and mobo:

mobo: "AGP Slots None"
card: "AGP"

Somehow, I don't think that's going to work.

If I sell a computer with onboard graphics card the price of selling it goes down and nobody would want it.If you are selling it to someone who knows anything about graphics cards they certainly wouldn't want one with a crappy card either.

For motherboard brands, I hate Chaintech. I've only worked with two of them and they booth refused to work...fresh out of the box! Has anyone got them to work? I personally think they are con artists.

I know that the first card was Agp but I found a 6600 Pci Express card so just don't pay attention to that.

Onboard graphics is getting better and better. The GeForce 6150 is the latest onboard from Nvidia.

It also has a PCI Express x16 slot for later upgrades.

i read a report on another site saying that as it is now the rs482 is beating the 6100 integrated chipset slighty, but in the end the 6150 will be better. i was temptedto buy the 6100, but once i saw the results for doom 3, it was apalling at 24.3fps at 800x600. eeeek

i know that, and in honesty im sure it surpasses anything that my current "beast" could project, but im personally trying to upgrade, hell atleast the 6600gt runs around 50fps in games.

but i can always look at sprocket and dream :D

FPS in gaming isn't the only important thing for a PC to be able to do. A lot of people don't play the latest high demanding games. The 6150 does what is needed for high quality HDTV output. Quite an accomplishment when you consider its price.

very true, i turn a blind eye to that mostly as my focus is worried more on will it be a bowl of mush when i play it.
