How come on occasion, the board will not let me insert some text into an already typed sentence. It should let me insert whatever, but sometimes it types overtop of what I've already typed.

That make sense?

No.

Unless you're using the WYSIWYG editor, in that case anything is possible.

I get that too sometimes. Means I have to type sentances again sometimes, or copy and paste. Sucks.

Try it. Press it once and it lets you type over text and press it again and it lets you insert text.

Excellent then. Hopefully I won't forget by the next time it happens. :)

Press the insert key on your keyboard.

It just happened again. The insert thingy doesn't work. All pressing insert does is keep the cursor in the same spot while retracting everything after it.

No, the insert key does define if you will be typing over text or not. It's a common Windows thing not just for VB3.5. MS Office uses it as does every other Windows application.

It might not be the problem here if it's not working however.

hmmm...maybe I should just replace my insert key. You think maybe it's broken?
