at the library and i'm having a problem with this "overlordship" thing.

in practice, how does it work? for example, if i am a lord myself, exceeding in power, with an army, could i send my troops to some foreign land and claim overlordship if we did well, and take their land?

I've decided to claim northumberland as my own, even though I live a couple miles outside of it, I've decided I'm now the duke. If they've got any problem, they can feck arf out of my kingdom

I was planning on claiming Sealand (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sealand) as my own at some point.

Then I heard about how heavily armed they are over there and changed my mind. :unsure:

Why on earth would you weigh your arm? And how? Does it include the shoulder, or is it purely elbow-downards?

i got a better idea than invading, just accidentally build the dyke on the wrong side of the border. when the other country says "hey that's our land" you say "well ok you win we'll fix it later" and never fix it
