For iAudio X5 20GB that will work in Israel? The Voltage here is not the same as USA so I can't use the adaptor I got with the machine itself..

I looked on Amazon but they didn't have any.... Does anyone know where I might find an adaptor on the net?

Thanks.

It might help if you told us what the voltage is, rather than what it isn't.

I thought exactly the same.

It must be some sort of test.

Yeah, I'm just not sure of the exact Voltage.. Does anyone know where I might be able to buy an original AC adaptor for the iAudio?

First item I found on google.

It was so hard. I'm not surprised you couldn't manage it.

Yeah I've heard of them, but I was told by some handyman-electrician something (dunno what his title is), that it would be better to buy one that was made by Cowon (so as, an original adaptor for the machine itself and not a converter).. oh well, if I can't find one I'll have to settle for the converter..

The only question is, is it safe to use, rather than the original?

So, after a little more research (gosh, it took another 30 seconds) I found out it needs a standard 5V DC, 2A power adapter. Available at any reasonable electrical store.
Specifications (http://www.cowonamerica.com/products/iaudio/x5/info_features.html#specifications)

It's taken me longer to type these replies than it did to get the info.

Fine, that's not what I asked though......

My main question was can you get a charger adaptor that connects directly from the machine to the wall, and that uses an Israel plug.. not the specifications.
Second question was if it's safe.

You answered a question that did not exist in this thread, but never mind.. I think I'll just go for the converter rather than the original one cos it'll take me ages to find one.

I'm quite sure that lynx just said that you need an adaptor that has an Israel input plug and has an output that meets the units specs.

Jeez not the "You said something different to what I think" convo again...

Anyways, I think I got the nick of things, and I'll be getting a converter pretty soon.

Thanks all :)

I was answering your original question, which was for an AC adapter which would work in Israel. I assumed you would have electrical stores in Israel, but obviously I'm wrong.

An adaptor that fits into the iAudio.. not from the end of the one I've got into the wall......
