Does Gmail delete things in the trash [Archive]

I have stuff in the trash from like a year ago and none got deleted. It says they delete it after 30 days but they never do.

I've got messages in my trash bin from the beginning of august, so I don't think the 30 days is accurate.

That's what I do, that way if i ever need to i can look back at old emails.:)

I still have my first email from google witch dates back to 09/04/04.

GAWD i have had Gmail for a long time, I didn't relize.

i like it becuase you could go back and see everyone you emailed and what you sent them.
