hey people whats best for burning cds.

i use nero 5 and when i burn mine they play in my pc and portable cd player but my hifi dont pick em up.
when i look at the data side i cant hardly tell the difference between blanks and ones that have been written. ive heard that theres some software i can get that burns tracks deeper, is this true or should i stop using cheapass cds in a 33 quid writer?

Some HiFi cd players will not read some CD media, mainly due to the colour of the dye used in them.
there are special "audio" CD-R's that can be bought, but they tend to cost more.
I've found that the Verbatim data CD's work well in most of the CD-players that I have tried.
all i can say is try diferant disks from diferant makers until you find one that works.

Does your hi-fi play other burned cd's? Some dont, especially the older ones.

:)

Edit:looks like Luca_Snipes beat me to it,and with better info!
Nice one Luca. :)
