I bought a wind-up torch today, it's really kewl.

I've already got a wind-up radio, which is also kewl.

I like wind-up gadgetry.

I enjoy the juxtaposition.

Does your wind-up torch also double up as a wind-up mobile phone charger?

Mine does. :schnauz:

I suffered through an impulse buy of my own yesterday.

http://www.klipsch.com/product/product.aspx?cid=858

Missus J wanted speakers with a smaller "footprint".

I felt it my duty to oblige her.

You swine.

I've got, what, 2 years on you, JP, and 6 years on you, Gripper.

I have yet to inherit my Father's 78s, and I've restored a few radiograms, but for the two of you to mock my vintage is an egregious trespass upon even common decorum.

Let's pick on Biggles-he's older than we are.

Hoi, I always refer to my awesome Sony sound system as a radiogram.

It's what we kewl young dudes do.

JPaul

no, a hot water bottle is a bottle filled with hot water
Well if you are being literal, maybe.

However in normal use it is a rubber container, specifically designed to hold hot water, with a view to providing heat to someone who intends sleeping to be part of their immediate future.

Well it is where I come from.

Ah-

Then my ageist wrath is directed entirely toward young Gripper.

Sweet.

Anyhoo, the Biggles question continues to fester:

Should we pick on him unrelentingly?

Perhaps a thread dedicated to that end?

I must adjourn here for several hours, but please consider this.

I quite like picking on that fat bar-steward Busyman. Not sure if I'd have time to target Biggles too

Lilmiss and manker:

This is an issue of ageism, and it is on that basis alone I propose we make his board-life Hell.

Nothing at all against him, you see, except he's a year my elder.

Please re-consider.

Billy said once that JPaul is a pensioner. Surely we should ensuire that JP's final days on planet interweb are as miserable as possible.

That must supercede your dastardly plan for Big Les.

JPaul

I'm still in the market for a mortal enemy, but still no suitable candidates.

Unfortunately those with the wherewithal are also, for various reasons, precluded from the position.

Woe is me.

Alas, I have neither the strength nor the will to squeeze the shoes of my good friend JPaul, and after all he is younger, no matter Billy's contrary comment.

Biggles squeaks into play by virtue of his age, nothing more, and I am helpless to forestall his status thus; though, it must be said nothing will come of it absent your willing cooperation-I must also remind you of the peril we will all face should SGG take up in aid of her good father's defense.

I'm afraid it must be Biggles, owing to his age and also the fact that he probably has a really big civil-servant-type desk with a nearly empty side-drawer in which to put the shit we owe him.
