Does anyone else find that when downloading files using Firefox it sometimes goes all unresponsive and if your downloading say like 5 and they all start finishing at the same time it can crash and you have to close it?

And what do you use as a download manager?

I usually use FlashFXP, even for web based downloads but with me downloading like 50 goals in one go it takes to long and i can only do 1 at a time.

FlashFXP>Flashgot>IE>Firefox (Download-wise)

With flashgot, you can set as many downloads as you like and have loads running concurrently, if you like.

Atm, I'm downloading 3 1 gig+ zips from easynews and have another 3 on queue but it's cool cos it doesn't affect browsing like wot BT or direct browser downloading does.

FlashGot is a free Mozilla/Firefox/Flock/Thunderbird extension (compatible with Netscape too), meant to handle single and massive ("all" and "selection") downloads with several external Download Managers.

Meaning you still have to use one external dl manager.

Duno, dude.

I downloaded flashgot some time ago and have been using it sans problems ever since. Maybe flashget is the external d/l manager and it all got installed as a bundle when I hit the link in softwareworld.

Guillaume

Yep, let's blame it on Softwareworld. Sound tactics. :01:
