I am still confused as to what makes someone chav like....
My daughter is now trying to pick out her brother's clothes so he doesn't look like a chav, but I don't get the distinction between chav stuff and comfy stuff....btw I do not wear track suits so I don't think I am a chav...but I really am not sure.....

It's not just the clothes, it's the attitude. Look out for white-trash talk such as yeeaah whoteva lik didnt say nufin bout youuu thats wot Chantelle sed bout you. and the repeated threats to proper batter you when they clearly couldn't batter a fish if it was all packaged up and ready battered.
Fake and cheap gold rings/giant hoop earings also point out the mark of a chav. I wear tracksuit bottems sometimes but i don't sport a shyte burbury baseball cap or some pink Nickleson shirt.
So my son wearing trackies occasionally doesn't make him a chav? Phew...cos he was getting a bit worried, you know how it is when you are 9.

Unless he asks to a pocket knife you should be fine.Yeah, 'cos then he'd be a mentalist.
Well, he is mental...although I am unsure whether he is a fully fledged mentalist due to his youth.....pocket knife? Nah....sweetie wrappers, bits of string and strange pieces of grit are the main consituents of his pockets.
manker

One wonders what a piece of grit has to do to qualify as strange :lookaroun
well, mainly because it is also sticky and covered in fluff.

Do you think that extra smilie use will help to get your use of irony across more coherently? Or is it that there are soooo many to choose from that you feel that it is a shame not to use them?

However, I didn't hold that against her and I didn't make it blatantly obvious, like you just did.
I answered with tact and diplomacy to give the illusion that she was actually coherent.
