i've got a 6600gt, it runs ok. the HDR effects are purty :)

Believe me, you'll more than likely run it. I have a shit system but i still managed to pull it off with medium-low settings and HDR on at a constant 30fps+

Valve are obviously assholes, a 6600GT is about equivalent to an x800gto 256mb...

a 6600gt costs like $150 on newegg..
x800gto 256mb costs at about $160...

It is the HDR is different from the HDR in DoD:S.

I averaged 30-40fps at 1280x960 4x/8x with all setting on high. Lost Coast is a system killer for sure and any game based on that engine will need very expensive hardware to play well.

it works fine at 1024x768 on my PC (athlon64 3000+/1gig ram/9800pro). the changes are only subtle but i like them. maybe games could incorporate realistic flashbangs or light/dark traps in games in future :01:

I think they set the minimum requirements like that because they want you to have full settings or something. Maybe?

I just played it for the first time today. My system runs it like a charm on maximum setting (i have the anti liasing at 8x) and get around 5-=6-FPS. The graphics are sic, and omfg the physics are magnificent. Right now i gotta go to bed ;) :P
