IE is the only browser that I know of that does that...

Even Opera loads the page as it's downloaded.

No I meant that IE is the only broswe that waits for the WHOLE page to laod before starting to render it.

Other browsers render it as it downloads so you dont sit there with the blank grey screen.

Any slowdowns that happen at times are because of the traffic that this site is getting and the server not being able to keep up, rookie will have to do something about that if this continues...

Yup. Been having major problems loading up for me too.

Using Opera and getting timeouts, even when loading up quick reply.

When it happened at first, I thought I had lost connection to the Internet, until I found out other sites were loading up normally.

It surely can't be affecting all the browsers, is someone doing maintenance or something?

There must be some big problems with the server this morning as I haven't been able to even get on at all until now.
I'm on chat with the server guys trying to find out what's going on.

Hopefully the site will stay working now...

4hrs down...157 seconds to load a single page
those server guys must be up to their armpits
in gators down in largo or maybe the only guy
who has the big wind up key is off partying for the weekend
it is like they are bouncing the signal off the moon
we must all have patience as ross is running from home
to florida to wake them up by throwing stones at their windows.

It's like old times...now all we need is the board to go down for a few hours...maybe this is the time to revert back to Invision software ;). for the complete KLF experience.. comma ..I mean lol

Im suprised your stilling hanging on to the thought of that. You should understand all thats been invested into VB with plugins and things to make us get more hits through search engines like Google and others. I see no way or reason that all that would be scrapped for the other software. As for the slow downs recently they have nothing to do with the boards software anyway...

... OK, back to reality :) ...it did occur to me though..after posting..the arcade and all the things you mentioned, that have grown out of this change to vb. It's not feasible to go backward. A lot of good work has occurred here and a "well done" to all those who have put their shoulders under it! Allow me a little nostalgia though... :D

The forum may appear smooth to some though not others as some issues are resolved now but others remain.
Theres is now an open ticket to see if whats left of the situation can be resolved soon...

fst lite?

For when fst is offline...
why not make a simple fst xtra forum (on other server) for when fst screws up,
so members have somewhere togoto when the forum is offline ? Where mods can say how long it will take etc.
Just a thought
