I have a problem.
It has been now like three days and still can't fix it.
I've done a Virus Scan with "Norton", Spyware check with "MS AntiSpyware" and
SpyBot, I have even used "Hijack this", erased all History, Cokies and Temporal Files,
and still, even when Im not using Insternet Explorer, many windows for smiles,
money, and stuff keep poppin up, some times the window pops up and a smaller window says that its trying to close.

What the heck is wrong?
who can I stop it?
please help me...

I'd run adaware and check your hosts file.

Yep ur comp's fcked with spyware and/or viruses. Since u scanned u comp with like 10 different programs and u still havnt solved the problem, i'd say u reinstall windows.

I dont bother with antivirus/antispyware programs anymore, u rarely completely rid of spyware/virus and its easier just to backup and reinstall windows once every month or two.

Plus you should not be using IE except for windows updates and the ocassional non-porn site that dosn't work in firefox. IE is full of security holes that let malicious software onto your computer.

When one of the pop-ups opens, leave it open, then open your task manager and post a screenshot on here please mate.

Yea, I don't know what I was thinking,
I had switched to FireFox time ago, and was getting used to it,
but when I did a re-install I was lazy and stayed with IE.
Damn, it has only been like a month.

Sounds like the Alerter Service...

You using XP SP2? If not, I'd recommend it as it fixes this problem automatically. If not you'll have to do it manually. You can either Google it or come back here for me or someone else to walk you though it.

Well, I do have SP2.
But I don't think it could actually be the Alert Service,
cus the IE windows that keep poping are for things like 'a-d-w-a-r-e-etc.com',
'jamster.com', 'starware.com' and non-sence stuff like that, and I forgot to mention
that also sometimes when clicking a link, it takes me to the site but after
one or two seconds it jumps to other site (one of the mentioned avobe), and I
have to use the arrows in the nav. bar to go back.

but still, I will google for that and I'll let you know,
thanks everyone.
