Not to me. Intel had a better product before the AMD Thunderbird.

My next rig will be AMD based (3500+) I have this cpu and I'm very happy with it...my only complaint is: my intel 3.0GHz is faster when it comes to encoding video. But the 3500+ kicks ass when doing everything else.

I notice that trend in just about every benchmark I've ever read

@Canuk - I just put in a 3500 Venice, pretty nice,
and I'm choking it right now with PC2700, single channel even :pinch:
when I get my dual channel setup on PC3200 it should scream

My next rig will be AMD based (3500+)I've got a 3500+ as well. Very fast cpu. Although my next computer will have an X2 in it (prolly 4400+).

meh. I worked for it :happy:

single core 64's are goin kinda cheap now, what with the dual cores out and all
parts aren't very cheap here compared to other places it seems,
but I grabbed the 3500 and a GB mobo for $299
without the bundle discount, think the 3500 was $229
the Venice, no 'Hammers or 'Castles or none of that old 130nm stuff

@Apac - I do hear the 4400's are sweet :wub:
