I was reading about this game this morning actually... looks much better than NFS2: Underground. Hopefully it will be better ;)

Looks good, a mate wants me to get it for him so i'll end up playing it no doubt. Been a good run of decent-ish games recently hopfully this will continue the trend.

wow, the demo did not impress me at all. AT ALL. i played 1280x1024 at max details and i hovered high 20s to mid 30s fps (same as NFSU2 so no biggie). performance wise, it performs the same. but the controls are ass, and so is the GUI. the steering control is fudgy and the shifting/rev limits arent as smooth feeling as NFSU2.

but excusing the crapass controls that make even gentle turns difficult and police escapes very frustrating, the graphics suck. the whole game looks like one of those flashbacks from Boy Meets World. everything reminds me of what the world looks like when im drunk, really blurry and slow (especially when HDR shows up).

I feel EXACTLY the same way about CoD 2. I won't even waste my time downloading that either. Nevertheless I've downloaded it and have yet to give it a try, so I'll comment when I do.

Don't neccessarily choose your nearest location. Try Netherlands, UK or even Germany. GamersHell have some of the fastest servers around. They put the likes of fileplanet and co to shame.

Well the only cool part of the Underground franchise is the customization parts. The story is extreamly linear, and its the same thing over and over again. Race, Circuit, Drag, Drift..ect. What we need is GTA mixed with NFS:U, that would be cool.

Same here...

Apparently even with a car with 100% (on scale) for handling, it was far from it. Very hard to keep straight, I have to constantly hit left and right :(

800 x 600 here too. Couldn't handle my native desktop res of 1280 x1024 :angry:

Game is ok, but same ol' same ol' thing.

I DID however enjoy the police chases, with the commentary from the cops. Very nice, and fluid which got bonus points.

I just hope they fix the resolution factor, or I'll be passing on this (to download) when it comes out.

This is not a nextgen title, if the game looks anything like this (or even slightly better) on the xbox360, then EA really does suck balls. Next-gen is something that wows you, not just graphically, this was for me a complete waste of my time and bandwidth :dry:

edit: and yes, it was running at pretty much on max settings

NFSU,NFS:MW are aracade style games(far from real), not simulators.

if u want sims then go with GT4, Forza etc.

its pretty cool because u can be crusing around in the city and get chased by a cop and while in pursuit u can go anywhere you want.

im not a huge fan of the setup of the controller for the xbox, then again coming from ps2 it's a lil diffrent. changing lanes is bs, the ai can go in lines you cant, they can slam into cars and not get totaled while you knick one and it's game over. did get the cops to deploy the spike strips tho, forgot i got caught last time and gave up my 4th heat level. once you get to that the game is nuts. miss my bmw m3, only reason i bought the game. gonna kick razors ass for fucking with it!!!

When you get to blacklist 6, race em and pic the middle bonus marker and you will get the dudes gallardo, that what I did, its rigged with almost all ultimate parts :D

as far as the pink slip i just goes up so if it 3 one time it will should be 1 next then 2 and back to 3 again but really this game is kinda of a let down after i beat it cuz i expected it to be like as soon as u step out of the garage and go to the end of the block u would get chased but maybe it is cause i only finished the mission portion its about 86% done and i gotta do the rap sheet rankings but i didn't even notice u cant play online might have to many problems if they tried n e way i guess and last cuz u can run from the police in 2 player mode thats extra gay.

Well the only cool part of the Underground franchise is the customization parts. The story is extreamly linear, and its the same thing over and over again. Race, Circuit, Drag, Drift..ect. What we need is GTA mixed with NFS:U, that would be cool.
Yea, a Grand Theft Auto games with NFS like graphics.
GTA with more shine and water on the ground.
