Is Skype ok?

from what i gather the advantages are
it requires no email
files are encrypted?
no ads
resources ok
?

(googletalk has no file exchange yet is simple)

Skype is great, I've not been using it for that long, around 10 weeks,
but after using Yahoo which sucks big time now uninstalled.
Calls are very cheap as well.
Test it on a few free call numbers, you'll see what i mean.
it's so easy to use and set-up, the quality is superb.
you can now get the handsets "VOIP" for £20

its a chat program - like messenger, google talk - transfer files etc - ot seems they will have intergrated video soon - no specific email required - free
and cheap phone calls

will the price of the phonecalls just go onto the standard telephone bill or will there be like a kind of seperate charge?

you call free between pc's
but
if you call to mobile or home numbers you must put in cash via visa etc beforehand.
i havent done this yet but will soon - ask the experts -could some one please fill in on what internet "phone" calling is -

well done skype, will go far i'm sure
