Most free places do. They don't want you using up their bandwidth and not pay.

but if you don't have many visitors/hits they shut down your account.
Use www.brinkster.com (http://www.brinkster.com) and redirect your site with www.dot.tk (http://www.dot.tk).

I both like Brinkster (http://www.brinkster.com) and (my personal favorite) Hypermart (http://www.hypermart.com).

with Brinkster, you get:

Web Space: 30MB
Data Transfer: 500MB
Web Based File Mangeger: True
Domain name: http://www**.brinkster.com/username (** = 2 random numbers, ie: 56)

with Hypermart, you get:

Web Spage: 50MB
Data Transfer: 500MB
Web Based File Manager: True
24/7 FTP: True
Doman name: http://username.hypermart.net

So, for the Free Brinkster account, go HERE (https://www.brinkster.com/Registration/default.asp)
For the free Hypermart account, go HERE (http://www.hypermart.net/t/registration/free)

Web1000.com is SH*T, don't use them. I tried their service and they closed my web site on their because they claimed that I have hosted illegal content in my web page, which is absolutely FALSE. I suspect the real reason was my very high traffic.

For now I'm satisfied with http://www.ehostingbiz.com (http://aldostools.ehostingbiz.com). It is $5 monthly with 50MB and unlimited traffic, but your content should be legal.

Tripod and Geocities are nice and free, but have very limited traffic, lot of ads and your content should be legal.

So if you aren't the programmer of these programs or if don't hold the copyright, it is better that don't upload them.

I'm not sure but I would go for http://www.tripod.lycos.co.uk

They offer 50 MB of space and unlimited bandwidth. The FTP service is okay and SQL and PHP is supported. There are numerous ads and pop-ups though but try your luck at blocking them with a JavaScript from http://www.cexx.org

Don't think, they'll close your service down though.
