either you hate it or you love it, your choice really. when i first heard nu-metal songs i hated em (i was into rap back then for a bit), and since all my friends were pretty much white or white "washed" i kinda got into it, now i can't live w/o slipknot or SOAD :)

they're not metal, and i dont think they ever said they were. the closest they are is prob. nu-metal (that's what i consider them), they're like static-x sort of. and for the last time, slipknot is not nu-metal, its just metal.

Metal has thease things with what are called guitar solos in them

too me SOAD just some nice hard rock
