battlefield 2 - buy for cheap!!!

hey i was wondering if...
you download battlefield 2 and install it using an .iso etc.. and then go to the shop and buy Battlefield 2: Special Forces and install it using that cd key... do you think you could play that online? it would only be like $30 so.. what do you think?

I had a legit copy of Black hawk down and the dodgy team sabre add-on worked np's, the same thing happened with ghost recon and its add ons, I think if you have a bonafide main game the addons generally work :unsure:

Just buy the game. There are different servers for each game and each separate game checks for that game's key. Sounds confusing but basically, just buy the game.

Not personally, but I have heard of others' results.

Although that was trying to play Special Forces with a BF2 key, rather than the other way round.

also, this game is very heavy on the bandwidth. i have 500kb/s comcast cable, and the game's kinda laggy sometimes on the fastest servers
