question on audio ?

ive gt a old hi-fi system on which the cd player doesnt work....
anyway i was hopin is it possible to link me portable cd player to it so the sounds cum out of the speakers of the system plz ? ?

is there certain leads i require or wat can i do

im nt sure i gt headphone socket on the frnt but its liek 3-4 yrs ols hi-fi on the back its gt a white and red hole ting ...

The headphone socket is no use, that's where sounds come out. You need a hole what puts the sounds in.. :dabs:

It's possible that your red and white holes on the back are inputs, do you have an input selector on the front that says, for example "AUX"? If so, then you're in business. ;)


EDIT: If you do have an AUX input on your hi-fi, you'll probably need something like this (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00006JA6C/ref=br_lf_ce_0/026-9935535-6900467) to connect it to your portable CD player... :unsure:
