What kind of system are you building?
The case decision is dependent on the hardware that will go into it.

In terms of sheer versatility nothing beats the CM Stacker (the original, not the bastardized new version).
For good looks, I'm fond of the Silverstone TJ-06.
I'm also fond of the Lian-li v-series, but haven't personally worked with one.

Thank you for your suggestions, clocker!
Unfortunately, I live in Romania, and here I can not find Cooler Master products! Also Lian-Li is not present here, so I was thinking that a good choise is the Shark case from Thermaltake.
what do you think??

Personally I hate Thermaltake products, but don't let my predjudices stop you.
Can't you order from outside the country or won't Dracul let you?

That Shark looks a bit like the Antec Sonata: http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=15139#

I dislike Thermaltake stuff also.

can you tell me some reasons for hating Thermaltake?
because from the brands i can compare in our stores, Shark seems to be the best choise for price/quality.
of course i can try to order from outside the country but at the end it will cost me almost double (and is not Dracula's foult!).
i've told you, unfortunately I live in Romania!!
Antec Sonata is ok, but for me seems a little to small.

can you tell me some reasons for hating Thermaltake?

Because they emphasize form over function, shamelessly rip off other companies designs and have crap build quality.
Need I say more?
Do you have links to any Romanian sites that sell cases?

gugutza

here are some links to the biggest retailers in Romania:

http://www.bestcomputers.ro/
http://www.dc-shop.ro/
http://www.flamingo.ro/
http://www.tape.ro/
http://www.twister.ro/page.jsp
http://www.ultrapro.ro/

there are also other big companies, but only for distribution, they don't have any shops!

http://www.caro.ro/
http://www.elko.ro/
http://www.rhs.ro/
http://www.romsoft.ro/
http://www.asbis.ro/

ATTENTION!!! do not be fooled by the large number of products they are offering!! usually they don't have even 50% of what you can see in the advertise! the small ones can order a product for you, if they don't have it on stock, but there is no guarantee you will get it !
I'm not joking! It is very difficult to build a good(expensive) computer here! Usually they are bringing only cheap goods! You have to got some friends, working in the computer business, if you really want to have a computer with a good price/quality ratio !

Ah, I see the problem.
The selection "carcase's" is rather slim.

Do any of your local PC shops (assuming there are any) have used cases you could buy?
I'm still a fan of old Gateway server cases and would build into one of those before I just settled for a new case I didn't really want.

I use the Akasa Eclipse-62

"Do any of your local PC shops (assuming there are any) have used cases you could buy?"

i have explained you the situation in Romania: almost nobody is interested in quality! everybody wants to make big profit in short time, no matter what they sell! and this is not only in computer business!
and when you can not choose you have no option that to buy what you can!

p.s. let me ask you something:
did you know that amazon do not deliver in Romania?? interesting, huh?
and if amazon does't have the guts to do it.... you may guess why is so damn "easy" to buy something from outside! :(

clocker

I feel your pain.

Actually, I'm attempting to feel your pain.
Being American I have no clue what it must be like to live where Amazon won't deliver.

I'm surprised that you have electricity actually.

Thanks for your sympathy.
Actually, I'm surprised too!
I'm surprised that I'm discussing to you through internet from here!
I'm surprised that I'm discussing to you in english, after almost 50 year of comunism brought here by russians! (with a little help from the greatest president in world history, Mr. paralytic Roosevelt)
Therefore, i must be very happy and pleased!
But i'm not! And I can't do shit about it! If I'll try to emigrate in your wonderful country , probably I won't be good enough. You see, I don't have a university diploma, to work for Micro$oft. So, that's my little life drama, but who give's a shit !? I'm just a little worm in a big horse shit! (Wow! i'm a philosopher too, again I'm surprised!)
But don't mind me, I'm just in pain and I'm agonizing.

We have no idea the hardships you have over there, may be a silly question, but is there not a black market you could buy stuff through?or would that cost to much as well,or be to dangerous.
Blow off steam if you want to,best place for that's in the lounge :)

there is no restriction in buying stuff if you have the money(lot of them!), so there is no need for black market.
the real problem is that the average income is very low in Romania (minimum legal income is around $100/MONTH !!!) so not everyone can afford to buy a computer.
that is why the computer retailers bring only cheap components, easy and fast to sell. Of course, if you have a lot of money you can order from outside the country, but you will have many problems until you'll get the goods and you'll pay maybe double!
The bastards in the parliament have promissed that they will cut the custom tax for computer components, but until now they are full of crap!
You know, there's a joke about Romania: "Nice country, what a pity it's populated!" :frusty:

Not to mention the rampant vampire problem.

That is true here also.
